I was surprised at how light the packaging was for this product. I thought it would contain more metal, versus almost all plastic. Was a bit concerned that it would not support the weight of the shower curtain. However, after installing it, it seems to do the job. However, like one reviewer mentioned, hooks that glide on the rod, which by the way is in two pieces, does kink around the joint. It could have been designed better. However, for the price, compared to ones that cost 3x's as much, it does the job. -- Plastic, plastic, plastic...

I haven't had a chance to install this yet, but it looks very well made and I'm sure it will do the job.

One note: The product description says "Wall mounts chrome plated," however the photos show the wall mounts as looking like brass. It's not a major point, and I don't see that it will effect the operation or installation, but one of the reasons I picked this curtain rod was that the brass mounts shown in the photo gave it a nice, finished look. Lesson learned: buyer beware, you can't go by the photos. -- Good product, but read the description

The product is lightweight, realtively easy to install, and inexpensive. The seller shipped it quickly and also immediately provided a part that was missing in the original package (ceiling mount for center support rod). (I sent an email to the seller on a Saturday or Sunday and heard back from them that night - now THAT was impressive!) Because this is in a rental property and was just installed, I can't comment on durability yet; however, be aware that the hooks for the curtain that slide around the track are plastic and are less sturdy than they appear in the pictures. They also snag a bit at the joint where the two pieces of the rod join together. Altogether seems like a good product, but time will tell. -- Good deal, but one reservation . . .
